James Jaeger is an award-winning filmmaker who began his entertainment career at NFL Films and the Valley Forge Music Fair working on shows such as THE CARPENTERS and THE SONNY & CHER SHOW.Relocating to Hollywood, California, Jaeger worked on numerous features and TV shows, among which were SHAME, SHAME ON THE BIXBY BOYS at Paramount Ranch, OLD FRIENDS/NEW FRIENDS with Fred Rogers & Lee Strasberg at PBS and various projects with Patricia Duff Medavoy at CNN. Becoming interested in the producing side of the business, Jaeger began work as an associate producer with Barry Mahon (manager of the late Errol Flynn) on numerous TV movies for Columbia Pictures and CBS.In 1981 Jaeger founded Matrix Productions which started out producing TV commercials and multi-camera events (featuring talent such as Tom Jones, Paul Williams, Chic Corea, Stanly Clark, Gregory Peck and Helen Hayes). In 1984 the company began developing and producing feature-length documentaries and narrative dramas among which were HIGH-TECH HIGH, OVER EXPOSED (Monique Gabrielle), ECOSPHERES, STALIN'S BACK ROOM, GOING OUT, TESLA, FIAT EMPIRE (Ron Paul), ORIGINAL INTENT (Pat Buchanan, Edwin Vieira) and SPOiLER (G. Edward Griffin, Chuck Baldwin). Released MOLON LABE, MIDNIGHT RIDE, GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS, MAINSTREAM and UNSUSTAINABLE.Specialties: Education: After graduating from The Haverford School and later the Cinema Institute (founded by Shorty Yeaworth, director of THE BLOB), Mr. Jaeger majored in sociology at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude in filmmaking class of 1978 at Los Angeles City College. In 1976 to August 1978 he worked with Academy Award-winning cinematographer-director-producer, Lee Garmes (GONE WITH THE WIND) who was to become one of his most important mentors.
