I am responsible for serving food to customers as well as providing a friendly atmosphere to the customer. To allow them to feel at home in the hotel. I maintain the front of the house at the bistro as well as the back. This requires food inventory taking as well as cleaning and cooking.

As President of the Newbury College Health care club I am responsible for all club activities and operations. I directly worked with Newbury college administrators to create and organize events for the club. Myself and a team of four including the Vice President, Secretary, and treasurer would meet to discuss direction of the club. I provided as President a lot of the club learning content that we would discuss during our sessions as well as used my network connections to help bring in speakers from the health care field that would be able to teach the club and other members of the Newbury college community a little bit more about life after college in particular when it came to working in the health care field.

This job entailed me to lead a small group of 22 first year students through the orientation process. In addition throughout the year I am responsible to check in with them and meet periodically with each student individually. To prepare for this job I had a rigorous week of training prior to orientation that ran 8 days for the whole day each day. I have been educated in safe talk and how to deal with all kinds of personalities that can be encountered at orientation and throughout the year in our small groups.

At this job I was in charge of researching billing for injectables. In addition I handled referrals for the Waltham, Falmouth, and Salem branches of Boston Retina. In this job I played both a business admin role as well as a marketing role. I created marketing materials to sent out to physicians that we were looking to get referrals from or build connections. I got to see some clinical aspects of the office but, focused mainly on the business side and running it from behind the scenes.

As a marketing intern at Dräger Medical I was responsible for summarizing various academic articles involving monitoring and the current problems faced in the marketplace such as alarm fatigue etc.. Also I created an updated configuration flow chart for the IACS monitoring system.

As an employee at Showcase Cinemas you are responsible for all the duties and responsibilities of an usher. As an usher you will be expected to have good customer service skill as you will be dealing largely with customers with issues and you are the first people they see and they will generally address you with the issue first. Additionally as an usher you are expected to not get overwhelmed in a situation that may require you to talk to a manager or to handle yourself if need be. You can never come off to the customer as rude you should always put personal problems aside to give the best first impression of the company. A key thing to remember as an usher is you are the first person people see when they come through the door whether they see you when you are standing at the front post making sure everyone has a ticket or if you are cleaning the lobby you are essentially the frontline people and need to be able to give a good first impression of the company. In addition to being very visible to the customer you must also be responsible for the cleanliness of the theatre. You must make sure the lobby as well as the bathrooms are clean additionally throughout the shift at the end of every show you must clean the theatres in preparation for the next showing. Furthermore during the night about every hour a theatre patrol should be done. This entitles you walking to each theatre punching a card making sure everything is ok and the customers have no issues. Additionally that the movie itself has no issues these are key to a properly functioning Showcase Cinemas. Finally from time to time due to various weather conditions we may need to have ushers help clean the steps outside to allow it to be safe for patrons to come into the theatre without falling or slipping. This means shoveling if there is snow and/or putting down ice melt to make the ground less slippery if there may be a chance for black ice or ice in general to be out there.
