Manage operations and administrative functions of the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) Continuing Education and In-service Training Program. Manage operations and administrative functions of the Basic Police Recruit Academy as needed. Responsible for design, development, implementation and evaluation of continuing education courses delivered to veteran law enforcement personnel throughout the Midwest. Facilitate the delivery of established law enforcement curriculum to newly hired police officers attending the law enforcement recruit academy as required. Hire, supervise and evaluate full time personnel, part-time instructors and ensure quality of training courses delivered. Identify the need for and manage required training resources including facilities, equipment and instructional materials.

Proven police professional, leading an authorized staff of 38 employees toward organizational goals and objectives. Responsible for the overall management, supervision, planning and direction of police services including community policing initiatives, criminal and ordinance violation investigations, patrol functions, traffic control and enforcement, accident investigation, crime prevention, community education and emergency services.
