I am currently the Chief of Staff of the Strategy Directorate at NHS England. I hold responsibility for the strategic and operational development of the directorate through ensuring the timely flow of decisions discharged through leadership of the National Director’s private office. I provide the directorate’s senior leadership to all aspects of corporate and financial governance overseeing corporate returns such as audit, risk and business continuity and ensuring directorate compliance. I champion the directorate’s organisational development and equality, diversity and inclusion activity and lead on special projects which directly support the National Director’s strategic and operational objectives. I previously led organisation design and development activity across Macmillan cancer support and ensured the organisation’s design remained fit for purpose and respectful of the overarching operating model.Prior to that my Management Consulting experience ranged across the full suite of People and Organisation related activities. This included Operational Excellence rollouts and a number of significant business transformations where I acted as the Comms & Change Lead. These roles have all been underpinned by the delivery of tangible, measurable outcomes. I have worked with operational teams right up to executive level in order to deliver a sustainable transformation for my clients. My experience in industry sectors stretches right across the private sector in addition to Devolved Regional & Local Government. I also support organisations with transformational design and implementation work, with significant OD and implementation activities within a number of high profile energy clients. My career began with 2 years classroom experience in Bradford in a school in particularly challenging circumstances where I taught French and built the school's language capabilities which resulted in the first cohort of students in the school's history achieving a GCSE in French.
