I’ve longed for a career path where I can fulfill my two favorite things – building and puzzle solving. Combined with my tendency to automate and improve tasks for myself and my colleagues, it’s no surprise I ended up working in software. While I studied for a Mechanical Engineering degree and worked as an Engineering Technician, I began finding enjoyment in writing scripts to help me perform tasks in my free time. This slowly grew into developing small applications to support my and my associates’ work tasks. At the time when I moved to Temple University, I decided to pivot my academic trajectory toward a Computer Engineering degree, where I could focus on working in hardware and software development. Today, I am an engineer, where I develop and maintain internal applications to support industrial tasks, such as real-time data acquisition and visualization.
