Upon completion of graduate scheme I was offered the role of Hybrid Systems Project Engineer within Emerald Automotive.Focusing on work within the Electronic Propulsion System Team (HV Component & System Engineering) I am currently supporting work across several projects.Examples of current work include:Package review & design considerationsInvolvement in RFQ & RFI work with regards to 3rd party suppliers (typically Tier 1 & 2).Vehicle level specification & documentationCalibration and documentation of ECU/ECM with regard to Drivability.On-board charging strategy & component managementTesting & ValidationCost/Weight down exercisesI hope to gain more knowledge of software release and development as well as manufacturing integration experience over the next 6-12 months

Mixture of Design and Project Engineering as part of the graduate scheme. Initially asked to rotate into various function groups within existing and new projects to get full business exposure.As part of the design engineering team I have been seconded to Emerald Automotive Design - who are responsible for the design side of LTC.I have exposure to 4 different function groups:Powertrain DevelopmentInstrumentation and Current EngineeringElectronic Propulsion System (HV Component Engineering)Testing & Development (Attribute Support)Within each function group I worked as a mixture of design and project engineering, managed internal and external stakeholders to fulfill design requirements for different projects. I have been part of a full V cycle development and have exposure to high level engineering development programme planning.Currently working on several projects including product development for future commercial applications.I will continue my development within the HV space and hope to continue my progress in this area.Graduate Programme comes to an end at 01/01/17
