Role involves close links with Project Management team to implement physical build solutions on time and on budget. Managed significant cost reductions within group with tight control on overtime closely aligned with optimising tasks. Active force behind process improvement to give predictable deployment of staff and improved efficiencies. Ownership of project stores facility holding in excess of £10M stock, management includes asset disposal and inventory processes. Annual savings from effective management of redeployed stock in excess of £2M.Full Cost Centre management controlling £1M+ budget.

Design and manufacture of enclosure products; Responsible for the Design Service Centre. A 25+ team consisting of all aspects of design, test and manufacture. Product development against tight timelines aligned with aggressive costs. Emphasis on high quality and ease of manufacture. Design and manufacture of computer equipment; Project emphasis on time-to-market, delivering a quality solution at a competitive cost. Responsible for mechanical design team comprising of 15 permanent engineers and contract staff, to deliver against aggressive schedules using global R&D resources and sub-contractors for both design, verification and manufacture. Design tools included Pro Engineer and Autocad. Experienced in small plastic moulded components for modem products and sheet metal enclosures. 19" rack chassis design incorporating thermal and EMC requirements.
