I am a time served technician with 4+ years experience in railway, and the electrical and mechanical engineering sector. In this time i have predominantly undertaken work (manufacture, test and maintenance) on rolling stock vehicle power plants. In addition, i have also undertaken work on the supporting systems and hardware in the form of control boxes/panels and battery charge systems. My education includes:-Time served level 3 apprenticeship as an engineering technician (electrical and mechanical)-Level 3 Aeronautical engineering-Level 5 electrical and electronic engineeringAs a technician i have had to consistently rely on my ability to interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings in order to safely and effectively work on the job at hand. At times, my experience has required that i reverse engineer a system such that i am able to understand its key working principles and behaviours in order to troubleshoot and begin fault rectification. The setting for such work has varied throughout my professional career and includes (but is not limited to) working in active motor-pools, track-side and in engineering workshop sites.I hold a full UK drivers license and am able to travel for work.My proudest achievement to date was working under the supervision and guidance of an engineer to create a prototype control system for a rolling-stock power plant. The process began with a set of drawings and feedback of the previous systems' performance history. This journey then progressed through multiple iterations and alterations before finally meeting the required specifications. The final result was a fitted and functional system used to demonstrate the ability and capacity of a new iteration of vehicle power plant.
