I am currently a Lead Engineer for the Test Automation and Tools Team. My responsibilities include helping teams expand their test automation practices, integrating teams with modern CI/CD pipelines and migrating to a more agile process using Azure DevOps. The testing stack utilizes Cucumber BDD style tests that are implemented with a Java test implementation. UI Tests use Selenium and the Perfecto Cloud in addition to the base testing layer. We also support a Postman testing stack that performs automated API tests in accordance with all NFCU governance requirements. In my role I provide Java expertise along with general knowledge of Azure DevOps, Pipelines and other miscellaneous tool sets.• I work with Perfecto and Perfecto Connect for implementing and running UI Tests with Selenium Grid.• I provide architecture support for miscellaneous tasks such as IPSec VPN design and implementation.• Provide integration classes with CyberArk for proper secret management.• Design and create simple Azure Pipelines to run tests and provide reports for development teams.• Perform product evaluations for new tools that teams request as a part of the testing stack.• Responsible for taking tools through all NFCU compliance reviews in order to be onboarded into the enterprise.• Responsible for maintenance and training for Starter Projects that demonstrate API and UI testing with various capabilities that enable quicker project initiation.• I also implement tests for both UI and API projects to provide velocity to Scrum teams.• Provide guidance and assistance implementing solutions that require SSL and mTLS.

I was the technical architect for the modernization of the Loan and Appraisal processing application in use by the Federal Housing Administration (a part of HUD). The modernized application uses a customized Salesforce for the user interface with backend processing performed by web services running on AWS GovCloud. I was primarily responsible for architecting and overseeing the construction of the backend web services that run in our AWS environment in both the Solutions Architect and Lead Developer roles. These services are built using Java and Spring Boot to expose a restful interface that then initiates an event driven processing process using the AWS native serverless computing paradigms. Application code and deployment pipelines are managed using a selfhosted Gitlab instance. The application infrastructure is deployed automatically using Infrastructure-as-Code paradigms with scripts written with Terraform.• Collaborate with Stakeholders to define and document the application architecture.• Support the DevOps team to implement the target architecture and deployment strategy.• Serve as Senior Developer implementing application changes and performing code reviews.• Use Gitlab as source control and for CI/CD pipelines that deploy application and infrastructure changes.• Use Amazon S3 buckets and RDS Postgres instances for data storage.• Build Java services using Spring Boot, Docker, ECR and ECS Fargate to implement a Restful API.• Use AWS Fargate, Lambda, SQS and SNS to implement serverless and event driven processing.• Work with DevOps to setup and configure the application routing and DNS strategy with ACM and Route53.• Enforce code quality with Sonarqube build gates and code reviews for all git merge requests.• Lead the development team with an Agile process that maintains a continuous workstream via the backlog.

I was the technical lead and solutions architect for a enterprise file sharing application in use by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The application is used to transmit files between banks and bank examiners for the purpose for examination and general business purposes. The system is built on the Cloud.Gov/CloudFoundry PaaS environment using Node.JS for back-end services, Angular for the front end client and Amazon S3 buckets, MySQL and Redis instances for data storage. The application is integrated with the customer’s on-premise ADFS instance for user authentication.• Worked with stakeholders to determine requirements and create an initial system architecture.• Created, documented and guided the application architecture through all development phase gates.• Created multiple Node JS applications to compose the backend services for the system that run on Cloud.Gov.• Used MySQL and Redis instances to store user and file metadata.• Used Amazon S3 buckets with SSE-C to securely store files up to 50GB in size.• Integrated the application with the customer’s ADFS instance using passport-saml.• Worked using an Agile/Scrum process for all phases of the project from inception though construction and transition.• Used Microsoft TFS to create CI/CD pipelines with automated builds and release pipelines for all application components.

The systems uses Amazon S3 Buckets and a MySQL database for data storage, Node.JS applications for the back-end services and both an Angular web front end along with a .Net thick client front end. The application runs on the Cloud.Gov PaaS environment. I am responsible for ownership of the system architecture and also acting as a Senior Developer on the team. • Worked with stakeholders to determine requirements and create an initial system architecture.• Created, documented and guided the application architecture through all development phase gates.• Led a small team of developers over the construction of the application into the maintenance phase.• Created multiple Node JS applications to compose the backend services for the system that run on Cloud.Gov.• Created .Net thick client written with .Net 4.6.2 using MVVM, Inversion of Control and other modern best practices.• Worked with development team to create Angular web front end.• Used Microsoft TFS to create full CI/D pipelines with automated builds and release pipelines for all application components.• Worked using an Agile/Scrum process for all phases of the project from inception though construction and transition.• Acted as technical lead for the program through requirements gathering through several interim releases and UATs.

I worked on SENTRY, an enterprise software suite that provides Chem-Bio-Rad-Nuke (CBRN) facility protection. Daily responsibilities included sensor integration, new feature development and general code maintenance. I was responsible for Software Unit Test development for the Multi-Function Display unit of the Joint Strike Fighter. • Unit tests written in C and C++ to obtain full code coverage in black, white and red box testing.• Tests and documentation written to specification DO-178B Level A.• Developed unit tests to SEAL Level 1 standards using LDRA TBrun and TestBed
