The Employability Team provides a crucial role within the faculty Professional Services, working closely with academic colleagues and other teams across the area. Our role is to ensure that students undertaking placements or work based learning as part of their course are placed in suitable settings to meet the requirements of their course. In the same work stream is encouraging students to take part in co-curricular activities to give them a competitive edge at interviews. This includes Student Societies, Student Rep schemes, Leadership awards and much more. Role specific responsibilities• Take responsibility for the operational delivery of placements and professional issues ensuring that course and Professional Statutory and Regulatory Body requirements are met.• Work closely with placement providers/stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of services to students, in relation to their practice placements and professional issues.• Deliver briefings to promote the services of the team and raise awareness of employability issues to students.• Work with academic colleagues to ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures e.g. advising of stakeholder compliance with requirements.• Take responsibility for planning and allocating students to placements across a number of subject areas, producing documentation, identifying student placement dates and experiences required and identifying potential placement shortages.• Liaise with staff and external organisations to ensure an efficient and effective service is provided e.g. liaising with companies to support student recruitment and promoting employability to students.

Rainbow Blades is Sheffield United’s award winning LGBTQ+ & Allies supporters group.I lead Rainbow Blades & ensure LGBTQ+ Blades & allies are empowered. Work with the Club & Community Foundation & help make Bramall Lane for everyone.1. I oversee all committee processes and ensure that various members remain on task.2. I act as the public face of the group at all major events and occasions, and to be a present and welcoming face for (especially new) members.3. I ensure workload is delegated equally between committee members, pitching in to help themselves where necessary4. I function as the primary contact with Sheffield United Football Club, advocating the interests of the group.5. I deliver on campaigns such as Rainbow Laces.6. I ensure that other committee members operate in line with the group’s core values, aims and objectives.7. I Produce an annual report for the group.8. I'm well informed of all organisation activities and up to date with the LGBTQ+ football landscape.9. I develop good relationships internally and externally.10. I work with Sheffield United on moving forward the Rainbow Blades strategy.

I was responsible for the smooth running of the food and beverage offer in the restaurant and bar. I had the responsibility to develop, innovate and deliver a product mix which is quality driven whilst maintaining aggressive financial returns. I was driven by ensuring that all working methods are reviewed and best practice is achieved so I could grow the department whilst delivering excellent guest service. I also oversaw all of the issues pertaining to a dining experience, such as quality control, staff management, inventory, health and safety regulations and customer service.1. Responsible for evolving and moving the department forward through customer satisfaction, revenue, costs control, team development and service. 2. Carried out staff appraisals, acquiring a good knowledge for all required policies and assisted in carrying out investigations and disciplinary activity if required. Managed the recruitment process of new team members through screening, interviewing and job taster days. 3. After submitting a proposal for development and growth, I became the restaurant and bar manager following a merger of both departments. 4. In my time as restaurant and bar manager I was able to grow new talent up through the department into senior positions. Move the bar forward in terms of product offering, efficiency, service and profitability. 5. Working on best practices and adapting change to achieve results focus approach.
