Provide advanced geological services to the mineral exploration and development industry. In this capacity I have worked in about 30 countries on a wide variety of mineral deposit types and stages of exploration and/or development.

My essential function at HDI is similar to Chief Geoscientist with a focus on advanced exploration and development stage metallic mineral mining projects. Major projects for which I have been the technical lead include Xietongmen, Tibet (Cu-Au porphyry; positive feasibility result); Pebble, Alaska (Cu-Au-Mo porphyry; pre-feasibility stage); Sisson, New Brunswick (W-Mo bulk-tonnage deposit; positive feasibility result); and Maggie, British Columbia (PEA). For smaller projects, my contributions include planning exploration programs, design of data acquisition and QA/QC protocols, and personnel management and training. Over the last five years I have also had a significant focus on business development and project acquistions.

As a Research Associate, I led an industry-funded project which characterized and developed exploration models for reduced, intrusion-related gold systems in the Yukon and elsewhere. The general exploration model developed as part of this research remains the primary model for this deposit type.

My initial position was a post-doctoral researcher. I participated in an industry-funded research project on alkalic Cu-Au porphyry deposits in British Columbia. Much of the current understanding of these deposits derived from this project.
