About the same time my career at BMO/Harris was coming to a close, I became a grandfather. There was a need and opportunity to provide assistance as needed. My granddaughter is old enough to attend school, so my role as daycare provider has diminished, giving me the opportunity to resume my career. Currently, as COVID-19 has changed our lives my role as grandfather has evolved into being the facilitator of e-learning (teacher) for my granddaughter, a second grader, as all schools in Downers Grove have been closed since March 15, 2020 through the rest of the school year. It’s kind of like cat-herding, but a great opportunity to work on teaching skills and more time with my granddaughter.

Responsible for all network related adds, moves, and changes within the BMO Harris Bank Network nationwide. This included new buildout of office space, department reorganizations and relocations, new Bank acquisitions, Disaster Recovery support, asset management and Intake management. This also required having knowledge of department requirements and production timelines.

I was responsible for ongoing operations of ATM teller network as well troubleshooting of problems on the network as they occurred. Was sent to Los Angeles as part of a team to create and turn up a new data center/switch for processing ATM transactions coming from ATMs located in Safeway stores in the greater Los Angeles area.
