Working on embedded controls for battery electric vehicle (BEV) propulsion thermal management. The system utilizes model-based (Simulink) and hand-coded software written in C.

Calibration engineering role performing engine development work in a powertrain test cell. Responsible for delivery of program objectives including calibration of engine control actuators (variable valve timing, EGR, electronic throttle, turbocharger), air/fuel, and emissions. Also responsible for development of new calibration methods utilizing fully automated "lights-out" data collection and post-processing utilizing MATLAB, ATI Vision, and other proprietary calibration tools.

Calibration engineering role responsible for the development and maintenance of engine airpath features, including variable valve timing (VVT/VCT) and exhaust gas recovery (EGR) systems. Perform duties as designated subject-matter-expert and assist global commodity vehicle teams (Ford North America, Mexico, and China) as it relates to proper calibration of said systems.Responsible for creation of calibration guidance and tools for engine dynamometer, powertrain dynamometer, and vehicle test environments.Work closely with system controls and D&R engineers to develop software strategies to mitigate potential error states as it relates to hardware protection, warranty prevention, and customer satisfaction.

Completed various ~9month rotations through Powertrain Controls, Calibration, and NVH (PCCN) and Electrified Powertrain Engineering (EPE), and Product Vehicle Team (PVT) departments.

My main project involved the development of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) methodologies to represent electrical noise limits when testing OBD-II circuits for open, short to ground, and short to power faults. Software used included dSPACE Control Desk, OCTAV, MATLAB, ATI Vision, and Microsoft Excel.

My main project involved the identification, investigation, containment, and resolution of part quality issues within the Mopar service parts distribution network. Specific duties included the processing of Potential Non-Conformances (PNCs) and issuing of Quality Control Messages (QCMs) to prevent non-conforming parts from shipping to dealers. I also worked with supplier engineers to implement process improvements to increase part quality.

As a part quality inspector, I inspected and reworked various automotive parts including engines, wiring harnesses, radiators, etc. on-site at various tier-1 automotive suppliers.
