There I was able to develop the skills I I learned from being in the communications program in high school. Although I've always been personable and could easily carry a conversation, speaking with people who owes a debt everyday was a bit different for me. There I learned two skills that I would carry with me, not just in my career but in many aspects of life. How to negotiate and overcome objection in a conversation that doesn't start in your favor. I didn't start out that great, but two things helped me. I was coachable and enjoy being the best at what I do. Ultimately, when we joined the rest of the team on the floor I won the award for most ACH's while in training. That also included collectors who had been there for years. That month taught me to have thick skin and continue to move forward, even if things aren't going your way.That's one of many experiences that lead me to what I do and love today. I thought if I can sell people on paying a bill they didn't pay initially, I surely could sell to someone who has an interest in a product. That led to my transition into sales. I gained the majority of my sales experience at Swap-A-Lease. There I made an immediate impact by winning employee of the month my second month on the floor and never looked back.Today I aspire to grow and continue to perfect my craft. Someday being promoted from delivery and becoming a leader in the sales industry. I'm currently enjoying my experience as an independent contractor in Business Development.
