I provide strategic leadership in all of the private school's communication and marketing efforts, including branding, marketing, public relations, advertising, admissions, social media, promotion of school events, and print and online communications.

I assist in managing the internal and external marketing for the Indianapolis private school. I help oversee all digital media, print-based public relations, video, and communications.

I photograph about 15/20 weddings a year with my wife, Emily Layne. I also assist in utilizing SEO knowledge while posting to our blog and Instagram, which are huge components in our success. Occasionally, I photograph engagement sessions, family sessions, and senior sessions for I&L.

I covered music and arts for the Circle Citizen blog at Indy Monthly's website, where I have my own author section. I've contributed a handful of times for the print circulation. I've had full-page clips covering a local ice cream shop, a prom dress giveaway, as well as the city of Nashville, Tennessee. And a profile of Josh Kaufman, winner of The Voice on NBC, which was the the highest viewed online piece at that time.

During this internship I reached out to Josh Kaufman after his first appearance on The Voice on NBC. As he made his way through the show (and eventually winning) I continued to cover his journey, which contributed to Indianapolis Monthly's highest website views in the history of their online content. I earned exclusive access with NBC and personal access to speak with Kaufman throughout.I also helped move pieces from print to the web, and followed a set of standards in doing so that helps keep the website appealing. This includes moving, sizing, and deciding what pictures work best, a light editing of pieces to fit for the website, and I also write and report my own topics for the blog. I still contribute today.

I oversaw all after school activities for second - fourth graders. In order to further develop the social and emotional skills of the elementary-aged students, I helped create a fun and challenging environment that aligned with classroom curriculum. I managed a crew of four while assigning daily duties.

During college I trained, supported and managed a maintenance/custodial crew of eight employees from first to third shift.
