Working on board the ocean rig corcovado as Electronics Tech

Working on the drill ship ocean Rig Corcovado as Rig Electrician during commissioning and on contract with Cairn. Involved with all tests and fault finding during start-up and running of vessel. On my time off I have been attending courses on ABB drives and NOV cyber base E.T Maintenance.

Working on the jack up GSF Magellan as Rig Electrician, then on the Sedco 704 for 8 months. I was then transferred to the GSF Arctic 3. I have been in charge of all electrical maintenance and installation on each of these rigs and gained valuable experience on both jack up and semi submersibles. Tasks include acting quickly and safely to any brake downs, completing all planned maintenance using RMS computer software, ordering parts, supervising people during shipyard operations and completing new projects. I also stood in as chief electrician for 4 trips when chief had leave of absence. 2002 - 2007 Baxters Food Group FochabersElectricianMaintenance of factory machinery. Working with three-phase AC systems and control circuits both AC and DC. I come across three phase induction motors, Inverters, PLC's, Relays, contactors, Star/Delta starters, temperature controllers, PNP & NPN sensors, thermocouples, MCB's, Overloads and all types of protection. I have also become very adept at panel building. Along with my electrical duties I have some mechanical experience.
