This includes managing building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), custodial services, landscaping, and grounds maintenance. Strategic Planning & Development: Develop and execute a long-term strategic plan for the church’s facilities, including maintenance schedules, upgrades, renovations, and expansion to meet the future needs. Budget Management: Manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and resource optimization. This includes negotiating contracts with service providers, managing maintenance costs, and overseeing capital expenditure for facility improvements. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with local building codes, health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement safety protocols, emergency preparedness plans, and conduct regular safety audits to ensure a secure environment for the congregation and staff. Event Coordination & Support: Collaborate with ministry leaders and other departments to ensure the facilities are prepared for various events, services, and activities. Manage room setup, audiovisual equipment, and logistical support for church functions, including worship services, conferences, weddings, and community events. Vendor & Contract Management: Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and facility projects. Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Asset Management: Maintain an inventory of all church property, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are properly stored, utilized, and replaced as needed. This includes overseeing parking, signage, and furniture management.
