Founder
I decided to scratch my own itch by building Golfify. It is an app dedicated to taking the admin out of golf and making it more fun for everyone. The app provides realtime scoring, leaderboard and stats along with a social feed so players can interact with each other as they play. Away from the course, players can join clubs and groups and expand their golfing network.

Digital Marketing And Communications Manager
Having noticed an increase in visitors, a number of Lake District businesses were looking to expand their marketing efforts towards the Chinese market. I designed and presented a digital marketing plan for the Lake District and introduced platforms such as Weibo and wechat to the forum. I have set up these channels and run a variety of different digital campaigns which have seen the Lake District Weibo page now has over 3000 fans, surpassing all other competing destinations such as York and Bath. I have partnered with Visit Britain, and other Key Opinion Leaders in the Weibosphere to maximise publicity. This included arranging a photo competition that became the second most trending travel topic on Weibo. I travelled to Shanghai in the Winter of 2015 to deliver in-office presentations in Chinese to major travel companies, including Ctrip and Kuoni about why they should choose the Lake District. I have also provided translation and communication services for corporate guests visiting the Lake District. The Lake District has seen a significant increase in Chinese visitors and my work for the forum resulted in being listed as a finalist for the Visit England Awards of Excellence 2017 for the "GREAT China Welcome of the Year". My goal now is to help the Lake District China Forum take advantage of its maturing media platforms by inviting external companies to advertise on them, and to explore other mediums for promoting the region and our attractions.

We now have Amazon stores in 9 countries and a website which fulfils orders internationally. Further to this we are building our Chinese E-commcerce presence with JingDong and Taobao. My mission is making it as easy as possible for people in need of high quality respirators to find and purchase our Cambridge Mask.
Amazon Specialist
Cambridge Masks use filters developed by the UK military for use in chemical, nuclear and biological warfare. They come in a range of fashion friendly patterns and sizes suitable for adults and children. The masks filter gas and particulate pollution as well as viruses and bacteria. My role was to optimise and increase sales on Amazon. I grew the market share rapidly and have since become responsible for International E-commerce. As the health consequences and presence of air pollution become more widely recognised across the world. We are working to help the world breathe better air and develop technological solutions to improve respirators for everyone everywhere.
Visa Writer
Responsible for checking, organising, correcting, printing, sticking, embossing and sealing visa applications to be sent to applicants. I hold the record for the number of visas printed in one day at 424 and consistently printed over 300 visas per a day totalling over 20000 over the course of the summer. I took on additional responsibility throughout the office, such as counting and managing vignettes. Ensuring all vignettes were accounted for and remaining vignettes were safely locked away at the end of the day. Exciting I know!
Project Manager
Responsible for designing a ten day customised study programme for 10 chinese students in London. The itinerary included social enterprises, a local school and home stay, visits to cambridge, national library and other attractions. The trip connected to two other sections; pre-departure, and the main project, which was to be implemented when the students returned to Guangzhou. The three sections linked together to give the students a powerful learning experience. I collaborated with various partners and stakeholders and overcame logistical problems by working quickly to find solutions. I completed the itinerary and assisted in marketing.
English Instructor
During my time in Guangzhou, I designed, managed and delivered Readstart’s English course to 7 students aged between six and ten. I discussed with the company founders how they wanted to deliver the service and set out our objectives. I then designed a programme of classes using the Oxford Learning Tree book series. I designed each class to have a specific agenda with a mix of intense learning and fun. I used all the available resources, including my Ipad, pictures and games. I also helped design a behaviour reward system, which was very successful in keeping the children focused and involved. Following each class I wrote feedback for each student, and gave feedback and recommendations to the parents using Chinese. I ensured the service was high end and value for money and in order to continually improve and manage the service, I met with the founders once a week to discuss and critique the service and ensure our objectives were being achieved. I could tracked the progress of each child by using the graded readers as a gauge. I was also able to ensure content learned in previous lessons was used again by designing a flash card game. After completing the programme, I received great feedback and praise from the parents, children and company founders. A couple of the children went on to score 100% in their English exams.
Study Abroad Ambassador
My task was to welcome international students to Lancaster University. Collaborating with the International Office at Lancaster. I helped deliver a welcome week for new international students in January. I was responsible for greeting the students at the airport, ensuring students registered, running campus tours, delivering a welcome speech, leading a trip to Chester and hosting quiz and meal nights. The week was a success and we received positive feedback from the students, many of which went on to become members of the study abroad society.
Assistant Chef
I prepared a wide variety of food in a small and hectic kitchen. I worked efficiently and safely, often working after hours to ensure smooth running of the operation. I consistently looked to improve and became known for being able to skin, slice and dice a watermelon in under 30 seconds. I trained new staff in food preparation and became an important part of the team. I balanced this job around my studies and worked shifts varying from 5am to 11pm.
