James Lindenberg is a musculoskeletal flexibility and strength therapist. James' interest in biomechanics and the body, began during his high school days, as he experienced injuries playing Soccer and Baseball. After University, James continued his passion for athletic endeavors, competing in over 75 road races, marathons and triathlons, including Kona Hawaii Ironman twice. It was during this time that he studied massage therapy techniques at the renowned Chicago School of Massage Therapy, learning a little bit of everything, from Rolfing to Craniosacral Therapy. In 1995, James began a working relationship with Jim & Phil Wharton, two of the pioneers of the Active-Isolated Stretching Method. A Master Instructor in A. I. S., James developed this hands-on flexibility program into a group fitness class and has taught this program at top clubs across the country. Helping the Wharton's certify 100's of trainers in the Method, he worked with athletes on every level, from the NBA and MLB to Olympic Medalists and Special Olympic Medalists. Along with the A.I.S. Master designation, James has certifications from ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), ACE (American Council on Exercise), MELT, TRX, Spinning, BOSU and ICP (Inline Certification Program)In his career as a Musculoskeletal Flexibility & Strength Therapist, his primary focus is to help clients create and maintain flexibility, joint integrity and body awareness via manual therapy and strength protocols. He has worked to help people recover from Knee and Hip replacements, Lung and Bone Cancer, Post-Natal issues and Back Pain, along with various levels of strength training. Over the last 25 years, James also worked as a group fitness instructor in some of New York City's premier clubs, including Equinox, Soul Cycle, Sports Club LA, Jeff Martin Studio, Body by Gilda and Crunch.
