As a Senior Systems Engineer for the Client Engineering team, I work with a team of engineers to design, implement and support technology in Sephora's Retail store environment. This includes point-of-sale, digital signage computers and other general-use Windows platforms. For each enhancement that enters the Retail Environment, myself, and my team work with the business to determine the desired functionality and the best way to implement this functionality. We then collaborate with the Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to ensure that the solution is documented and supportable at all levels. Primary responsibility in this position is to create custom scripts to manage and perform Active Directory tasks. This is to support an audit of the Active Directory infrastructure, and to remediate all issues found during this audit. In this position I have created script for the Cyber Forensics team, the Active Directory Management team and several others. They include performing reports on the Active Directory structure, the creation and disabling of 1000’s of account and security groups. Created deployment guides, tested scripts, and deployed to production. Also trained personnel on the use of the scripts.

In this position I was responsible for researching and engineering new solutions for the Microsoft Retail Stores. This included Video Wall servers, deployment of required software, tracking End of Life cycles with hardware, scripting deployment of operating systems and software. I would create deployment guides for the solutions and then I would travel to store location to supervise the deployment of the solutions engineered or support over the phone. Technology used in this job – Windows 8, HP Workstations, Dell Workstations, PowerShell, Crestron, both professional and consumer grade video cards, streaming hardware and software.

In this role I supported MOCP (Microsoft Online Commerce Portal) and the billing system initially in a deployment test capacity (6 months). I was responsible for building out and documenting entirely new environments for DEV/Test and automating the deployment and Build Verification Tests (BVT). I then moved over to production support for MOCP, in this new role I was responsible for the production deployments of MOCP and the Billing System. In both roles I initiated setting up new process, creating documentation, and implementing new technologies in order to better manage the environments. In the production environment I oversaw and executed deployments of the billing environment. In this position I was responsible for the setup and maintaining of both physical and virtual servers in our lab. This included 60+ physical servers that are used to host our Virtual Data Center, which consists of Dell and HP servers. I managed several private domains in this environment, with extensive use of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Terminal Server and various other technologies.I also managed our F5 load balancers (1500/6800), this involved upgrading the operating system and provisioning the device per Microsoft standards. I provided support to all the users in my environment.
