Primary role consists of developing boundary scan test vectors using Asset ScanWorks software. ScanWorks test development consist of the following skills:• Knowledge of BSDL files, cluster models and programable models - how to locate information within the file - how to edit the files - how to make minor changes to meet specific program needs/requirements• Understand Design/Hardware/Software/Firmware Specifications and how to translate each specification into the test vector creation• Incorporate design constraints (down to a specific signal) into the test vector development• Create SVF, SPI, Flash and Memory models using ScanWorks• Convert Binary (BIN)/Bitfiles (BIT) into Serial Vector File (SVF) per projects requirements• Utilize schematics and PCA drawings - Understand circuits and how they work in the overall design - Ability to trace signals through multiple designs/projects/systems - Identify all components within a signal path• Create scan chain designs using Visio - Includes boundary scan compliant devices - Includes JTAG devices directly connected to boundary scan components• Participate in design reviews• Create Training and How-to Guides for beginner, intermediate and advanced users• ScanWorks projects are created for both Standalone Stations and System Level Designs• Assist with standalone and system level debug using JTAG techniques

Primary responsibility is working with the Integrated Test Engineering Team. Currently working with a small group to create Test Requirement Documents (TRD) that contain the following information:• Handling and Cooling Requirements• Human and Product Safety Requirements• Performance Characteristics• Interface Definitions • Functional Block Diagrams and Interface Diagrams• General Debug Tips and Actions• Detailed Test Information Sheets - Block/Test Specific - Test Descriptions - Test Setup and Equipment Used - Diagnostics down to the component level• Boundary Scan Techniques and Strategies• Component Level Flow Charts and Decision Trees• Module Specific Information - Schematics - PCA/PCB Drawings - Module Assemblies• Test and Hardware SpecificationsAll of the above information is transferred into an automated test procedure for a specific UUT. The automated test procedure will run from beginning to end, if there are no failures, and a test report is generated that contains all of the test blocks, limits and results. If a failure occurs at any point during the automated test, the automated test will stop and provide the operator detailed information on what the failure is and how to resolve the failure. The failure resolution is either down to component level or a small circuit. The failure will also be referenced in the TRD in case more detailed analysis is required.

After identifying the need to implement better management of the circuit board bring-up process and creating effective measures to bring about the needed change, I was promoted to Senior Engineering Technician. I defined the duties and responsibilities needed to sustain the changes, which led to the development and implementation of my new role.
