I started sales as a Bartender in Grand Rapids MI when I was fresh out of High school. A manager at a local used car lot used to frequent my establishment, one night while closing he asked me if I ever thought about pursuing a career in sales. At that point I had not. I had two young children and bar tending was a very good job for me. After a lot of persuading he succeeded in getting me to come work for his company. After 3 months of selling cars he promoted me to lot manager. A few months after that I was approached by the GM of a new car dealership in the area and offered a position there. After weighing the pro's and con's I decided it would be more beneficial long term to move to the new lot and continue my career in sales. Shortly after that my wife and I decided to relocate to Lansing MI, as it was to long of a drive to commute I decided to get back into restaurant management. I did that in Lansing for a little over 2 years when I realized that it was never going to be a long term career for me. I filled out an application at Full Throttle the next day as a salesman. A few days go by and the called and offered my the position. When I was hired in they told me up front that "Car Salesmen" don't make it in the powersports industry. My response to that was, "Please remind me of that when I'm a manager at your dealership". A little over 2 years go by and I get the promotion to used Manager. Almost a year after that I became the sales manager. Finally ending up in my current position as F&I and Business manager. I will always strive to do what's best for the customer, my dealership, myself and my family.
