I have extensive experience working in many sectors throughout my career, and this varied experience has contributed to my unique approach to the Digital Learning sector. After graduating with an Economics degree in 1995, I studied and worked as a Management Accountant, gaining my CIMA qualification in 2002. Notable organisations include The International Tennis Federation, Orange (Data Analysis) and a Company Accountant role for a successful 'Dot Com' up to 2003. A career change in 2004 saw me spending time volunteering in both the Ambulance Service and the Territorial Army, while I retrained as a Police Officer for Avon and Somerset Police - a role I held for many years - and capping my service career by training and operating as a Helicopter Air Observer. I started my own professional training company in 2015, where our focus gradually changed from classroom training to digital training. We created a suite of online English courses and tests for the Maritime Industry, designing the syllabuses, and creating interactive digital products that included graphic design, audio & voiceover, sound effects, and video. Currently, I run 'Bright Light Digital Ltd', which is focussed on the creation of excellent digital learning products, and end-to-end eLearning project management (from concept all the way through to LMS delivery, user training & support).The future of eLearning is very exciting, and I foresee a future where digital learning incorporates AI, so to be adaptive to each learner and circumstance, and maximises each training encounter.
