As an IT Administrator IV at UT, I am responsible for working with developers and integrators to assist with design and deployment of Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources. As a Senior Systems Engineer at Acosta, I was responsible for all infrastructure in Azure. I worked with internal development groups and business unit to design, deploy and support infrastructure to meet their needs. I also assisted in managing on premise infrastructure AD, DNS and internal and business applications.Key Contributions:• Migrated bulk of file servers to Azure Files shares, eliminating over 40 physical servers and cleaning up access to improve security.• Partnered with development teams to reduce complexity in the deployment process and set foundation for Infrastructure as Code.• Reviewed current roles and access and created custom roles following principle of least privileged access utilizing CloudKnox.• Created automations to reduce manual processes and to monitor sensitive resources.

After Paragon was acquired by Allscripts, I became a member of the Azure Architecture team. In this role I was responsible for working with our product teams to develop reference architectures with technical and costing guidance to move our existing and new products into Azure. Acted as tier 4 support for Azure escalations.Key Contributions:• Created and maintained reference architectures for both our product groups (Sunrise, DBMotion, Symedical etc) and individual technologies (Citrix, Citrix Cloud, RDS, WVD)• Automated deployments with Runbooks, PowerShell and Azure DevOps to improve efficiency and reduce cost for both solution teams and internal tooling.• Created process and documentation for protecting Citrix environments with Azure site Recovery with a focus on automation.• Worked with cross functional teams to establish policies for security, IAM and deployments.

After an internal role change, I joined the Paragon Development Systems Team. In this role I was responsible for building and maintaining all Private and Public cloud and on-premise infrastructure for the Development organization.Key Contributions:• Created and maintained PowerShell scripts to update the development Citrix and RDS environments with the daily builds of Paragon.• Built, managed and maintained on premise infrastructure of Hyper-V, RDS and XenApp environments.• Migrated internal product groups to Azure from on prem and private clouds. As a member of the Paragon Development Escalations Team, I was responsible for working escalations from our support organization that were development related. Diagnose issues and deliver to Development the cause and potential resolutions. I was a SME for Performance (SQL, Systems and Networking), Thin Client, Citrix, RDS, and Active Directory and all other infrastructure.Key Contributions:• Lead the Paragon performance project which created and resolved 130 work items to improve the performance of SQL, .NET and PowerBuilder.• Traveled to multiple customer sites to work and mitigate performance issues.• Developed escalation processes from support to development and maintained Development knowledgebase to reduce the number of escalations and work items.• Trained Support and Development staff on troubleshooting performance issues.
