Dr James Luo, managing partner of Lawjay Partners, is counsel of choice for international clients. With over 30 years' experience in IP law, James is an established legal authority in IP litigation and enforcement, and represents various top luxury brands and world-famous marks in lawsuits for trademark and copyright infringement. He is consistently ranked by WTR 1000 as a band-1 individual in IP litigation, and is recognised as among China's leading IP lawyers by Chambers and Partners, Who's Who Legal, and MIP among others.Victories won by James for top luxury brands include the Supreme Court retrial actions for Playboy, Too Faced, and Aesop, respectively; an award of Rmb4.3 million in a trademark infringement action against an online counterfeiter and its online service provider; a suit against an OEM that exported counterfeit goods; and a suit against a popular Chinese e-commerce platform selling fake luxury goods.The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) selected him as a member of its panel of arbitrators and mediators.
