As a swimming instructor for the Aquazone scheme at the leisure centre, in my time I have had my own classes and have been a lead cover teacher for the scheme. My responsibilities include;•Communication with the pupils I teach and their parents; this every swimming lesson, as I am teaching the pupil and I like to let the parents have an insight into how the child is getting on and how the parent can help them to improve. •Planning lessons, this is using technology such as Microsoft to complete the plan and share it with other teachers who may need to access the document. •Continuous Assessment; Once a term I am responsible in providing a report on the children, this is done by following a criteria for each stage of the swim scheme. Meaning I continue to assess the pupil throughout the term.•Motivation and encouragement; I am a positive keen instructor, when working with young children I use positive motivation language to get my students to really push themselves to do their best.

Torbay

This role entailed multiple responsibilities; •Planning and Organising the programme and staff to run effectively; I will organise up to a 6 week programme to inform the parents and the children, what activities we will be doing and when. I also was responsible for deciding the appropriate staff to work along side with me, I took this seriously and had to ensure the workers were DBS checked and responsible enough for the job.•I lead the programme personally and deliver most of the activity sessions; as the leader I am responsible for taking multiple session, this may be something I am not confident at teaching but I always find a way to deliver a good fun safe session that the children will enjoy.•I am the programme first aider; This means any injuries and incidents, I am responsible to do the appropriate first aid to any child during the camp, and effectively reporting the incident after.•As I am working with children, I have to consider safeguarding constantly to ensure safety; I work with many vulnerable children such as children in care, this means I have worked along children services and have to ensure the children are all safe at all times.

Paignton

As a Lifeguard I had the responsibilities of; • Working effectively in a team to ensure the safety of the general public; The maximum occupancy of the waterpark was 2000 this was frequently reached, we had to ensure we were constantly professional and communicated properly to ensure everyone had fun but was safe.• Professionalism in delivery of Lifeguard Procedures, First Aid and AED use.

Torbay

Working as part of a lifeguard team at the UK's largest outdoor waterpark meant I had a number of responsibilities;•Life Saving and First Aid•Working in a team, communicating effectively •Leadership, as a senior Lifeguard I was given responsibility in the Water park at certain times.•Effective problem solving, as I would have to deal with all kinds of situations, with peoples lives at risk
