Manage and support the successful transition of processes from the R&D/Technology teams to on-going full-scale production. Identify and implement process improvements. Ensured that the processes met the technical, safety & environmental and operational quality challenges they presented, in order that the business objectives of the company were fulfilled. Significant aspects of this position were new process introduction, process improvement and investigative troubleshooting.

Deputy to the Pilot Plant Manager. Technical management of the processes and building. Decisions on equipment utilisation; writing of process instructions; liaising with engineers and health & safety colleagues; working with quality assurance and interfacing with customers.

Responsibility for the development of laboratory processes leading to scale up for production campaigns.

Management of technical projects concerned with the improvement of consumer products with respect to performance, consumer acceptance and product cost specifications. Close involvement with the analytical, pilot plant and manufacturing departments.
