•Managed the publication of centralised NHS Workforce Information as part of the agreed National Statistics standards and timescales. This involves analysing HR and Financial data, using Business Objects, SPSS and Excel to produce a web publication that includes Staff in Post, Vacancies, Sickness absences and Turnover information. Ensuring the publication meets the needs of the Scottish Government, stakeholders, the media and the General Public.•Worked on the project team that is developing reports and models for monitoring NHS Board progression towards meeting nationally agreed Workforce targets and future staff projections. This will influence budgets and future staff training numbers, predict current staff level demands and the future ‘shape’ of the NHS Workforce in Scotland.•Took a lead role on the Data Quality project to ensure centrally collected data is robust and complete. This involves working closely with NHS Boards and the Scottish Government to explain data quality issues and to gain buy in from HR Directors by explaining the advantages and the need for centralised reporting of good quality data. Producing routine data quality reports to monitor progress on solving any issues that have been highlighted.•Played a key role in the ‘Lean’ project by process mapping the National Statistics process and identifying where improvements can be made and time can be saved
