I was commissioned by TAFE (Technical And Further Education College) to write a Web Design and Development Course for their lecturing staff. A change in government standards meant the course had to cover a more broad range of topics including CSS, XHTML, Flash, Fireworks, Javascript and PHP Basics. I also included sections on Web Accessibility and industry standards to help the lecturers give the students a foundation for a career in Web Design and Development.

I spent 7 years controlling Document Management Systems for large Bluechip companies including, Motorola, The British Computer Society and Lloyds Register of Shipping. I managed a team of supervisors who in turn oversaw 30 people in the collating, preparation and scanning of documents. Whilst working with Sixteen35 I implemented the new data entry software called Sprint Suite and was responsible for merging of data into the Alchemy search software (I hold a certificate as an Alchemy IMR – Systems Administrator). I had full contact with the client, maintaining issues, software installation and improving the overall service we offered.I was introduced to HTML and CSS whilst developing the company website and was lucky enough to run a project for the AA (Automobile Association) utilising both my web and document management skills. The project involved scanning all their technical manuals for use on an html based system for each of the technicians to use daily on their laptops.
