Responsible for leading the efficient and effective administration of the Council’s regulatory enforcement operations in accordance with the provisions of all relevant Acts and Regulations. Management of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that quality service is provided within available resourcing, consistent with Council and community expectations.Provision of environmental science and planning support and advice to Council and all relevant community stakeholders.Particular focus on Special Project, “MPSC Burnt & Derelict Housing Enforcement Program”, including a “whole-of -government” approach to managing an increasing stock of fire-damaged and dilapidated residential properties with associated legacy asbestos issues.

Various interim appointments of up to 6-months within Council’s Executive Team to act as Director Planning & Development. Reporting functions have included Planning & Building, Environment & Compliance, Waste, Building Assets, Economic & Community Development, Library Services and Project Services.Role responsible for overseeing the coordination of up to 50 FTEs across the above listed functions and operate within Council’s MANEX Team throughout challenging periods for the organisation. Other functions include: Policy review and development; Procedure review and development; project management; Strategic Planning; Council reporting; recruitment troubleshooting; and service level review.
