Otherlab is an independent research and development lab that is focused on creating cutting edge technologies that can compete in a commercial environment. At the core of our company is a diverse team of nearly 70 engineers that work on projects in the areas of renewable energy systems, robotic manipulation, robotic exoskeletons, personal CNC machines, solar energy, natural gas storage, and computational design tools. Otherlab is structured to partner high risk government research funding with follow on commercial investment to produce commercial opportunities. To date we have spawned companies with focuses on software design tools, personal CNC and solar energy.

OtherFund is an early stage fund that invests in companies with fundamental technology innovations in hardware and software that are born inside Otherlab. We leverage our success of securing non-diluting federal research funding that de-risks our enabling new technologies.
