Lead the IT department in providing hardware and software solutions for a multifaceted, international food manufacturer and distributor. This includes interdepartmental coordination and guidance on ways to utilize existing technology more efficiently, as well as implement new technology to fill gaps or improve processes. In my time with Dippin' Dots, we have renegotiated contracts on services and consumables and also found creative ways to source new equipment. Manage the IT department of a 450 employee company across 3 operating facilities and 1 corporate office utilizing 3 direct and 2 indirect staff. Serve as Chairman of the IT Steering Committee. Manage annual IT budget. Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure we receive and maintain competitive rates. Manage all aspects of software development and act as subject matter expert in regard to software acquisitions. Meet with project stakeholders to define requirements and establish project scope and timeframe. Personally develop software solutions, as well as manage internal developers and external contractors to develop software solutions. Ensure business needs are met by the hardware infrastructure through maintenance of existing hardware as well as procurement of new hardware, including networking equipment, servers, personal computers, peripherals, etc. Ensure databases are optimized, recoverable, and secure.

Developed software for a business management application. Implemented program modifications and revisions on the standard application, as well as working directly with clients to create custom programming solutions, providing application flexibility to fulfill business specific needs. Provided software support to clients after it had been delivered and helped those clients maintain data integrity. Assisted in training co-workers to develop software within, and in compliance with our application framework.

Functioned as the Information Technology specialist for 18 site locations.• Administrated the operation of both WAN and LAN Networks.
