Enhancing and redesigning the Executive Compensation (EC) applications for the Office of the CFO. Printing EC checks, W2s and creating reports at a moment’s notice. Started training as a health insurance rate programmer for a Visual FoxPro application being converted to Visual C#.NET. Had interviews with key department heads on what is needed from rate programmers, independent brokers, internal sales agents and insurance companies. Updated the insurance rate table for a Texas based insurance company.

Analyzed and converted the complex title insurance funding reports (about 30+) to Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services. Many reports had multiple queries (3 to 8) with interspersed procedural code. I converted all of this to one TSQL query per report. Provided feedback to Microsoft software designers on enhancements to be made to the Beta 1, Beta 2 and Version 1.0 of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services. Attended training courses from Microsoft staff on C# .NET, VB .NET, Visual Studio and MS 2000 Reporting Services. Solved preexisting TSQL design issues. I enhanced and migrated FoxPro, Access and FileMaker application data to SQL Server and the web platform. Created SQL Tables, stored procedures for transporting data to the new funding tracking and reporting system so that the back office could continue to perform daily operations during this transition. Created download applications using TSQL, ADO, and Data Transformation Services (DTS) containing checks on validity. Collected design requests from managers/users and created new applications and added enhancements to existing fund payment applications for the accounting department. Created new accounting reports with both row and column checks for lock box operations to aid in cross checking, logging and accountability. Developed an extremely time sensitive survey reporting application that had to be on time and 99.9% accurate. The new reports had to contain all the data from the previous 1999 report plus the new survey data for the year 2001 with double graphs. There were sixteen different reports for all the Forest Service offices and units. I analyzed and redesigned the report generation system that was in place. Converted it from HP PCL based to FoxPro report based. Each report was generated dynamically, not visually. Developed applications to process raw survey data and create custom adhoc graphic reports for all offices and units in the U. S. Forest Service for their management assessment CIP 99 Survey. I developed code to modify the internal records in FoxPro report files so that custom bar graphs could be displayed for each report. This is something VFP could not do on its own. Discovered the reason for database corruption that was the most critical problem with the main loan application that is used at over 500 sites (EDGE); database corruption. Solved the main and biggest load application problem and time waster for the EDGE support team after others gave up. Collected and analyzed user concerns and wrote detail software change requests for the EDGE software development team. Supported at level 2, all 520+ mortgage loan branches over a wide area network. Lead programmer for the largest and only project that made money for the company. Responsibilities were 24/7. Developed and maintained a large number of telemarketing applications, electronic deliverables and daily/weekly/monthly reports for this AT&T multilingual telemarketing account with 230+ users. Had to continually repair database tables due to database corruption caused by server configuration problems. Solved the key problem that caused large amount of downtime due to database corruption. Made extensive modifications and enhancements to AccountMate Premiere accounting package (OOP, OOD). Later, made more changes in the newly redesigned object-oriented version in Visual FoxPro 3.0.
