In December 2014, I was assigned role of General Manager of Deco. At the time, Deco was a plant that was struggling with their recent complicated product launches. During my time there, we were able to rebuild relations with the shop floor team members. Productivity saw major improvements and as a result, the bottom line was improved.

Worked with the team at Venest Industries to restructure the stamping and assembly unit. Through restructuring and productivity improvement, we were able to return Venest to profitability.

Responsible for managing the operations of the paint facility and final assembly department.

Recruited into Cosma to bring the industry’s first hydro formed truck frame to market. Responsibilities included design of facility and equipment to support optimal plant productivity, quality, ergonomics, and material flow. Successfully launched 1.2 million square foot frame hydroforming welding facility on time and on budget.

Integram Seating, Windsor, OntarioResponsible for the launch of Magna’s first automotive seating facility. Responsibilities included the oversight of the base building construction including all facilities and services to support production activities and equipment. Designing workflow through the facility. Created equipment specifications. Worked closely with equipment builders and integrators to ensure that the production equipment and tooling would be capable of meeting production, quality health and safety, ergonomic and environmental targets for the business.

Recruited into Atoma group as part of a team tasked with developing new products and processes for the automotive seating industry. In the Aurora facility we constructed a product development lab and a pilot production facility. The resultant outcome of this exercise was the award of Magna’s first contract for the production of seats designed for the Chrysler minivan.
