Soldier- Royal Engineer (Re)British Army Sep 1982 - Jan 1991Chepstow-Surrey-Ripon-St,Kilda And Various Countries Around The WorldI left school at 16 in 1982 with 3 O-grades and headed off to the Army Apprentices College Chepstow where I gained my City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery Advanced Craft certificate and Basic Military training.After two years I then moved on to Gibraltar Barracks where I trained for 6 months to become a Combat Engineer.In 1985 I was posted to 51 Airmobile Squadron RE where I stayed for three years and completed various tours around the world,we were UK based for three months a year.I then volunteered for a posting to St-Kilda for a six month stint manning the tracking station for the missile range at Benbecula.I then returned to Ripon and was posted to 15 Field Support Squadron as a Combat Joiner, HGV Driver and JCB 410 rough terrain forklift driver. After another couple of years i left in January 1991 after nine years happy service.
