Delivering weekly supervisions (small-group classes) for 2nd year undergraduates in Natural Sciences taking the Mathematical and Computational Biology course. Includes setting and providing feedback on problem sheets. Topics include Bayesian statistics, mixed models, matrix algebra, bioinformatics, machine learning algorithms, programming, and analytical approaches underpinning a wide variety of biological systems.

Delivering weekly supervisions for 2nd year undergraduates in Natural Sciences taking the Part IB Evolution and Animal Behaviour course, including setting and marking essays and short-answer questions. Topics in this course include: predator and prey interactions; development of adaptive behaviour; phenotypic models; vertebrate evo bio; population genetics; population genomics and infectious disease; phylogeny and macroevolution; insect physiology and evolution; and nervous systems.

Research assistant in the West Group. Data collection & analysis for a study on ant social evolution, investigating associations between the environment and colony size using Bayesian phylogenetic mixed models and phylogenetic path analysis. Also collected data for the group's other projects on insect social evolution.

Research assistant in the BarraLab, working on the taxonomy and systematics of the model rotifer species Adineta vaga, with wide implications for the study of evolution in asexual lineages, eukaryotic horizontal gene transfer, and environmental stress resistance. Isolated, cultured, imaged, and performed PCR on rotifers.

Research assistant for the Wytham Genome Project. Collected 200+ previously unsequenced invertebrate species using a variety of sampling methods, and prepared the samples on dry ice to be sent to the Wellcome Sanger Institute.

Conducted a research project using epigaeic invertebrate diversity to assess the conservation outcomes of attempted fynbos ecosystem restoration, the results of which were published in the journal Nature's Letters. Also contributed to local conservation projects including water quality surveys and a study on the impact of global change on Afrotemperate forest community composition.
