James (Jim) has managed a private equity portfolio since May 2004. He is, since April 2011, Chairman of Urbanimmersive Technologies Inc. (formerly UI Capital Inc.) a leading edge digital media company that combines visual & creative content production with innovative patent pending immersive technology for the real estate advertising market and other markets. Since 2006, he has been Chairman of EHT International Inc., which develops and manufactures motorized control cabinets and intelligent controllers for high voltage equipment found in substations worldwide. Jim is also Chairman of the Board of Governors of The Study, a leading Canadian private education all-girls school in Westmount Quebec. From 2006 to 2014, he was a director of Sensio Technologies which developed a broad portfolio of 3D licensed products. From 1980 to 2004, he held various senior executive positions with a financial institution and biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies listed on the TSX and NASDAQ, including Nexia Biotechnologies Inc., Labopharm Inc. and BioChem Pharma Inc. Mr. McDonald holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a B.A. from Bishop’s University.
