Specifically:• The team provided written daily updates on collection systems status to the Secretary of Defense and I personally provided daily verbal updates to the Joint Chiefs of Staff Intelligence Officer. Our work provided the most senior Department of Defense (DOD) leaders with the most up to date collection systems status and impact to global combat and humanitarian operations.• My team developed collection strategies to satisfy requirements defined by operations and intelligence planners around the globe, while coordinating with efforts of the nation’s intelligence agencies to support operations including:o Iraq and Afghan Areas of Operationo Piracy in the Gulf of Adeno Counter-Narcotics Operations in Latin Americao Crisis support to events in North Korea, Mayan-mar and Middle East• My team contributed to the successful first ever shoot-down of a derelict U.S. satellite by providing continuous status collection system updates to the operational commander in the Pentagon and in the Pacific theater of operations• Our Center provided military support to US government and local responder organizations fighting wild fires in the western United States by coordinating the availability of imaging and sensing platforms and their output• I was responsible for the administration of all personnel to include semi-annual counseling and annual performance appraisals• I participated in numerous ranking boards to determine promotion eligibility for assigned personnel.

Specifically:• I directed the acquisition process for an on-time and protest free award of a $255M support contract for the JDISS Program• The services and software and equipment procured sustained and improved on software applications supporting a user community in excess of 8000 military intelligence analysts and collection managers. • As the JDISS Program Manager, I was responsible to the Department of the Navy for the fiscal execution of $50M annually. As such, I was required to provide written and verbal Program updates for Congressional Staffers’ oversight on an annual basis.• I led and supervised the daily activities of military, civilian and contract employees in the systems development life cycle for application delivery of solutions and services including eliciting and documenting detailed user requirements. • Our semi-annual user group meetings were attended by dozens of system integrators and implementers from government, industry and military organizations.• I made certain my Program teamed with other Defense Program Managers and their Programs on software development and maintenance of intelligence database applications to avoid unnecessary development costs and ensure the best product for our customers.• I worked with a subject matter experts and implemented ISO 9001 standards for program management, creating standardized business processes to facilitate improved financial tracking and reporting, project scheduling and metrics development for the JDISS Program. -

Specifically:• I managed training, assignment and administration of 100 assigned personnel including disciplinary action; development for advancement, preparations for achieving qualifications required for military duties and individual promotion• I was personally responsible for the coordinated intelligence operations onboard the aircraft carrier• I am proud to report the team I directed produced in a thirty (30) day period of combat operations: o 8 detailed intelligence reportso 41 reconnaissance reports processed from over 3 miles of combat camera imageryo 600 combat aircraft mission reportso 550 weapon system video clips in direct support of bomb damage assessments, thus eliminating the need to risk aircrew where desired weapons effects were obtained.• My assigned personnel achieved an 80% advancement rate for promotion to the next higher grade • One third of my subordinates were recognized for achieving Navy Surface or Air Specialist Qualifications beyond normal rank advancement requirements• I maintained intelligence systems hardware and software, valued in the millions of dollars to ensure operational readiness and availability of 3 classified computer networks consisting of dozens of workstations, 2 imaging systems and a video teleconferencing system during deployed and in-port operations• I was part of a team tasked by the ship’s Commanding Officer to develop a Ship Security Force Organization to enhance physical security during foreign port visits; as a result our ship was security incident free during 5 overseas port visits to include high threat areas in the Arabian Gulf.
