I am a Police Officer, with over 8 years of experience in law enforcement. I have worked in a variety of positions and roles, within Avon and Somerset Constabulary. I am skilled in emergency response, criminal investigations, communication, problem solving and much more. Having grown up on opposing sides of the earth, 3 things always always mattered most to me; community, communication, integrity and the sense of security. Little did I know, this would be my driving factor to the greatest profession. In 2015, I started my Policing career as a volunteer Police Officer (Special Constable). Here I volunteered well in excess of my mandatory hours, as a Patrol officer, in addition to my civilian day job. This experience provided me with invaluable life skills of time keeping, organisation, interpersonal skills and communication. In 2017, I took on a new challenge and started as a Detention Officer, providing detainee transport services. In this role, I was in charge of the logistical movement of arrested persons, detainee welfare and the completion of procedural documents, regarding recently arrested individuals.In 2018, I moved into my current role, as a Police Officer. I have spent my entire career on the frontline, as an emergency response and patrol officer, providing a Police service to one of the most challenging areas of Bristol. I have become an experienced member of the team, who others are confident to approach for advice, which fills me with joy. To continuously challenge myself, I have taken on a number of additional roles, to fulfil, along with my core duties. - Tutor Officer. I have tutored numerous new officers over the years, providing coaching, mentoring and teaching. This allowed me to assist in the national governments uplift programme. - District station equipment manager. In my tenure, I was able to facilitate an audit and initiate procurement proceedings, which allowed me to both replace aging equipment, but also purchase additional life saving equipment. - Taser CED weapon station manager (SPOC).- Criminal Investigation Disclosure Champion. In response to recent AG national legislation changes regarding disclosure in criminal investigations, a need arose for well versed personnel. I volunteered to receive enhanced training on the legislative changes and join a community of champions, who act as a force resource, for any guidance or questions, officers can access in the immediacy.
