I am a former professional soccer player who spent 2.5 years living my dream of being a professional athlete. Prior to that, I played soccer in college for 4 years and earned All-American and Academic All-American accolades, as well as being a 2 year team captain and recently being named to Colorado Mesa University's "All-Decade Team". I graduated from CMU with a 3.95 GPA and a BBA degree with a concentration in finance and I am excited to transition back into the finance world and use the knowledge I gained in college, as well as the vast experience and skills I gained in my athletic career, to succeed in the business world. For the past two years I have been working as a credit analyst at Guaranty Bank & Trust.A little bit more about me...I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colorado Mesa University in 2018. I obtained a BBA degree with a concentration in finance. In my time at Colorado Mesa I was a 4 year starter and 2 year captain on the men's soccer team. I helped guide my team to the NCAA tournament all 4 years and finished my career as an Academic All-American. My 2 years of experience being a captain taught me a lot about leadership and teamwork as I tried to bring together a group of guys from different backgrounds to work towards a common goal. Additionally, I learned a lot about time management as playing soccer was just like a full time job and I still had to focus on excelling academically on top of that.After graduation I went on to play professional soccer for California United Strikers. In my 2.5 years there I learned about the grind and dedication it takes to be a professional athlete. I also learned about the mental fortitude and self belief it takes to have continued success at the highest levels. The experience I gained enduring the everyday grind and the mental battles set me up very well for the next stage of my life entering the work force.As I progress in the business world I am excited to draw on my unmatched work ethic, dedication and intelligence, as well as the many talents and experiences I have derived from athletics, and apply those to my work.
