I have seen many people come and go and seen many changes and been part of many of the acquisitions the business made, so I was seen as the ideal person to take on a huge challenge.I was given the full responsibility of creating a stock take process from scratch including liaising with our I.T specialist to create a auditable, reportable and accountable stock take process for all the sites covering the Elliott Network. This was a huge task and one I am extremely proud of meaning the business could physically count its whole branch network of assets in one weekend, leading to full reconciliation which was managed by the central fleet team.Documentation, process maps and working instructions were produced for all area's of the business and Central Fleet was respected for not only our knowledge, but for our hard work, commitment and down right willingness to do things right.A large number of processes and procedures were required to make Elliott stand out from the rest and over a 5 year period I led my small team with the support of Elliott Business support to create business processes around control and transfer of fleet as well as ensuring that all system generated reports were up to date, true and accountable.The team also managed the end of life assets creating procedures and process to ensure that all assets leaving the business were correctly managedThis was to be my last post with Elliott and a sad day when I decided to move on. We quickly grew our market and grew our market share in areas such as Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley, Rotherham and Wakefield.The team we built at Wakefield continued the hard work and commitment started in Leeds and we quickly became in my own eyes the only place to hire portable accommodation and storage from. Investment continued and we continued to grow organically and through acquisition of such companies as Wraith and GE.The time spend at Wakefield was probably one of the best in my Career as every member of staff helped in the success of the branch from the sales teams winning the work to the service teams supporting and delivering products on time and meeting our customers needs.

The vision was not only to provide good quality equipment but to also offer and deliver world class service and customer experience.

ManagerRedispace And Jonson Feb 1994 - Nov 2000Alfreton (Derbyshire)Through a merger the company name changed to Redispace and Jonson and I was asked to look after and grow the business from a small yard in Alfreton. From a starting point of 3k a week we grew the business to over 16k a week in a 2 year period. Looking back this was a very challenging time as investment and facilities were very limited but we managed to grow the business from an extremely low cost base, where I looked after all the sales with one person carrying out the back office function.Rentokil initial then bought the business (BET) during 1996 and through out the remainder of my time at Alfreton we gained capex to grow the business to over 10’000 accommodation and storage units which was something the whole business was proud of .
