UAS Team Lead, Head Pilot & trainer at Ordnance Survey.Experienced & fully licenced (GVC & A2 C of C) UAS pilot (previously held PfCO).Part of the initial research team tasked with proving the benefits for UAS use within Ordnance Survey.Upon providing a report outlining the benefits of UAS use I was tasked with implementing UAS use as a BAU tool within the business.I wrote & now maintain our Ops Manual & licence.Produced & implemented a fully functional production flowline for UAS work.Created & delivered a training program for new UAS pilots at Ordnance Survey (27 to date).Created & implemented a reduced distances OSC for Ordnance Survey UAS's.Skills:Team Leadership developed whilst leading the team of 27 pilots across the business.Excellent Communication skills to successfully deliver training to 27 Pilots.High Level of Flight Operations & Operational Efficiency experience when Planning & Piloting UAS jobs either myself or with/for other Pilots.Comfortable working towards/within deadlines.Strong Attention to Detail required when producing & implementing a fully functional production flowline for UAS work & maintaining CAA documentation.I've managed & flown several high-profile UAS jobs at Ordnance Survey:Broadlands Estate in Romsey as requested by Countess Mountbatten.Romsey Abbey – which was used for various high profile demo’s & was promoted & filmed by the BBC.The new JWHQ – which required a very detailed Hazard & Risk Assessment due to 1500 workers & 50 heavy duty vehicles on site every day.An area of coastal erosion on the Norfolk coast - this project was filmed by Anglia news to highlight how rapidly Ordnance Survey could mobilise their UAS team, fly a prestige target & update our mapping to reflect the coastal cliff change.A 3.5km stretch of prestige carriageway widening in Wales.Craven Cottage, home of Fulham FC.Worked directly with DJI's European Sales team and starred in the release video for the DJI Mavic 3During 17 years at Ordnance Survey I've worked as: Data Supply Specialist, Mastermap Account Manager, Photogrammetrist, Head Quality Assurance Officer and Head Pilot/Team Lead for the UAS team.9 years Photogrammetry and surveying experience, working on several high profile projects such as the London Olympics and the Commonwealth games.Oversaw all Photogrammetry capture of UAS data.Experience in quality management of large data sets, I was the Quality Controller responsible for all quality checks of the 2012 Commonwealth Games mapping.
