· Prepared multiple test specimens using EDM, auto-grinder and polishing machines, and chemical etching· Obtained optical imaging for fractography and SEM with EDS for particle analysis and composition· Measured Young’s Modulus, coefficient of thermal expansion, thermal diffusivity, and heat capacity of MoW-HfN surrogate cermet fuel in temperature range 25⁰C to 1800⁰C· Set up and ran test with laser flash, 4-point bend test, dilatometry, differential scanning calorimetry, and XRD· Used various effective property models to predict material properties and behavior· Developed a structure-property-process based understanding of the material from experimental data and theoretical models
