Broker Services Manager - Unum, Bristol(March 2014 –present)Role And Achievements• In 2014 the company relocated and promoted me to manage the most high profile team in Broker Services. With 23 direct reports I was directly responsible for the performance of the team, as well as managing the relationship with our key business partner. • Building strong relations with our customer with face to face dialogue across all eight offices nationwide. By November 2014, Unum had climbed from fifth to first as ‘the insurer Mercer are likely to recommend to a client or colleague’ in their annual insurer survey. This has been maintained until the current date. • Promoted as the ‘Customer Experience Ambassador’ for Broker Services and progressed to the ‘Emerging Leaders Group’ to recognise and promote the future leaders of Unum. • In 2014, 2015 and 2016 I was voted on to the company high achiever recognition event. This recognises the top 10% performers at Unum (also achieved in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2012).• In 2016 I was voted on to the annual sales conference by the Unum sales department. This recognised me as the employee who had made the greatest contribution to their division, throughout the company, working outside of their department. • Currently managing an office closure and redundancy exercise. Ensuring a smooth transition of our Bristol portfolio to our Basingstoke site. Managing internal / external communications and delivering a transparent and seamless switch within challenging deadlines.

Role and Achievements• In 2011 the company relocated and promoted me to the role of Financial Underwriting Manager at our Basingstoke office. Managing a team of Senior and Small Scheme Underwriters, I was responsible for a £50 million block of business, ensuring strict retention / pricing targets were met.• From 2013 to 2014 I successfully managed a block transfer of over £2 million worth of business for the Financial Underwriting department. This involved detailed organisation of the block working with a high degree of accuracy to meet strict deadlines. • The team and I were recognised as ‘Team Of The Year’ at the 2014 Unum annual awards.
