BOOSTER was created as a small private company, which in the role of orchestrator and industrial architect has, over the past 10 years, achieved remarkable success in building a consortium of companies and building alliances with strategic agencies from a number of key governments.The aim is to both enable and develop the private space market through the operation of a space transportation system. Activities are being coordinated from Europe (to start with). Reflecting this, headquarters have been made from a central European location in Belgium and operations are being directed from Spain.The flagship project on which company experience has been acquired has used the implementation and operation of a rocketship-type vehicle primarily aimed at the sub-orbital market for space tourist adventure rides. No details have been publicised having opted for the strategy of building a viable and industrially secure knowledge base before deciding to declare any intentions.This strategy has involved the developing of a number of the main project threads in parallel: political support, key technical partners, industrial and operational set-up, legal and technology and licensing protocols.Recent events have shown us that there are a number of opportunities to use the multidisciplinary experience gained for the benefit of a variety of projects and customers who want to implement a project operating in the Edge of Space.
