a) Planning and Policy Formulation• Leading the strategy formulation, direction and implementation of Strategic Conservation Education Programs on Climate Change, Wildlife Conservation, Environment Education and Sustainable Development.• Trainer of Trainers Co-ordinate, Manage, Administer and Monitor the implementation of the UWEC overall programs and mandates at the National, Regional and International levels.• Corporate Governance including Risk Management, Accountability, Environmental and Social Governance and sustainability.• Team management and effective supervision of staff including Managers and officers.• Implementation of the Results oriented Management through the balance score card monitoring system.• Design, implement, monitor and evaluate development projects funded by several partners including JICA, UNDP, World Bank, among others.• Coordinate and spearhead Capacity Building, Monitoring and Evaluation of activities. • Spearhead the continuous development and review of the mission, objectives and policies designed to achieve sustainability and viability of UWEC• Promote an understanding among all concerned of the vision and mission of UWEC• Coordinate the development of policies, plans and programs based on a strategic plan and environment to enable it realize its mission• Prepare Annual, biennial and five-year work plans and budgets• Prepare and submit quarterly reports and budgets for consideration and approval b y the board• Growing the Partnership Fraternity of the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Receive and review research articles for publication.

• Develop and implement comprehensive long-term Conservation Education strategies at the National level for Primary, secondary schools and tertiary institutions as well as the communities.• Build up and maintain strong partnerships with related organizations, the press and community service organizationsPrepare Annual work plans and budgetsProduce Education, Information and Communication materials for different target audiences, including Primary and secondary schools, tertiary institutions among others.Prepare monthly reports timelySupervise colleagues in the Department

• Teach, conduct and supervise Research• Technically guiding researchers on identification of problems, proposal development and execution of research projects.• Develop collaborative research & development projects proposals for funding.• Guide and advise students working on Environment Conservation and Management.• Coordinate the Faculty of Science’s research activities and represent the Faculty at National and International fora.
