He has extensive experience in the ICT industry and has handled projects in Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, South Sudan, Senegal, Haiti, Ghana, and Cameroon.He previously worked as technical lead consultant for Chevan Solutions as well as Chairman of the board of directors for Tescom group of companies comprised of Tesla Services Limited and Ascom Networks Limited. He has steered the growth of Tescom Ltd from inception in 2007 to international levels operating profitable semi-autonomous branches in Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Sudan and Kenya. Prior to this, he worked as a Manager at Safaricom Limited where he specialized in Access Network planning, design and optimization.Before joining Safaricom, Eng. Mutahi worked at Comtec Group Limited as a Senior Telecommunication Systems Engineer and Project Manager. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from University of Nairobi and BTech. in Electrical & Communications Engineering from Moi University.Eng.
