As part of a team, I work towards making great cities accessible to everyone by adding features to, and maintaining, the existing backend business logistics using fullstack Clojure(Script) and Datomic.While here, I have worked on our Clojure backend systems, implementing new features per business specifications and general maintenance involving investigating and fixing issues.I owned the design, implementation and maintenance of the authentication process across different Clojure(Script) and JavaScript systems, switching it from a homegrown Clojure oAuth2 solution to Auth0 for secure, centralized authentication and authorization.I owned the architectural design and implementation of communication between our various backend systems by adopting an event driven model primarily built upon the Datomic transaction report queue, Amazon SNS and AWS Lambda.I built Clojure-based ETL logic to keep acquisition data in Salesforce and our internal CRM in sync and I maintain a Clojure-based OLAP system which syncs data from a Datomic database into a Postgres database that drives business intelligence (Stitch, Snowflake, Looker).I have been part of the primary support engineering team for our users, making great use of Datomic's immutability and time-travelling capabilities to diagnose and fix issues.

Simplified the collection and management of credit scoring data for financial institutions in emerging markets (with an East African focus) by working in a team to build a client-facing React dashboard and a NodeJS API powering this dashboard.Expedited time-to-market by owning and leading the development effort of building a dynamic form builder where core components logic was shared between React and React Native.Enhanced maintainability and uniformity in the codebase by adopting linting, code formatting tools and contributing to the development of an internal design system.

I worked within a team to migrate existing applications to microservices running in docker, maintained existing AngularJS (1) applications and contributed to new React applications. Additionally, I enhanced maintainability of the codebase by formalizing the coding standards, setting up and fixing linting and contributing unit tests.
