Superintendant / ContractorDuma Contractors Sep 1989 - Mar 1991I hired on to Duma because I was working on getting my Florida State Certified General Contractors License and Duma had a big project they wanted me to be on. It was a 63,000 square foot residence for Abraham Gossman on Palm Beach Island. I had met Sala Sawayah, owner of Duma, when I was building Atlantic Plaza. He wanted me on the project. I was one of 3 GC's on the site. I was first in charge of the shell and then in charge of the finishes. The structure was all cast in place concrete. Outside walls were 16" thick with coral veneer and copings. Walls also had steel plate hurricane shutters than ran on tracks to conceal inside of wall. Interior finishes included all plumbing, built ins, and we had 13 artists imported from Germany to faux paint all interior walls and ceilings to look like stone, vines, potted plants, artwork on the walls, etc. I had to schedule and coordinate all of this, while keeping up with the continuing of construction of a 115,000 gallon pool, pool house, tennis courts, tennis guest house.

These were all luxury condos on an exclusive island with only Ferry service as access. Buildings were 5 and 6 story. Afterwards we also erected a concrete shell in Bal Harbour that was 12 stories that I also assisted on.

A 4 story office building attached to a outdoor retail mall. Then while in Florida, we picked up another job "Lake Wyman Plaza" in Boca Raton, a 4 story office building with concrete structure with granite and glass curtain wall. On both projects I was in charge of and performed all lay out, line and point, field engineering, etc.
