I worked for Gen Next Education on a short term, 8 hour per week contract from February - July 2022.My role was to engage with International Schools, Universities and related contacts in Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand to promote the connectED platform. The platform creates a free space where students, parents, University Counsellors and Teachers can connect with admissions members at hundreds of Universities across the world. The platform also allows for virtual events to be hosted.

I worked as Group Head of Marketing and Sales for Family Medical Practice Vietnam.The role was initially to manage the Marketing and Sales teams in Hanoi and Da Nang but expanded to oversee all teams at the six clinics across the country and a team that grew to 37.During my time I developed a new marketing strategy to target local middle and high-income Vietnamese nationals, developed strategic partnerships with various paediatric-focused companies, engaged with commericial businesses to make more commercial service sales, expanded our visual impact at focused events and developed bespoke sales funnels and associated copy for each site.I also oversaw the hiring of several staff in junior and management positions, carried out staff evaluations. I also wrote job description and vetted candidate applications for my position once I knew that I was leaving.I left the role as my wife, son and I had decided to leave Vietnam for a fresh start in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

My role within tech start-up Vectary was to develop an education programme to drive subscription sales of the 3D modeling platform.I worked with educators in K-12 and Higher Education across English speaking countries to develop lesson plans and education programmes that could be of use to the teachers as well as the students, I also worked with the UI team to develop a custom UI for educators as well as with the CEO and co-founders to create a custom product proposal.

Based at the British Embassy in Bratislava, I worked for the DIT Team on the Travel & Infrastructure, Retail and Defence & Security sectors in Slovakia as well as being Regional Lead for the Education Sector in the Central European Network. My role within the British Chamber of Commerce was vary varied and challenging. I was in control of the events budget as well as planning each event from initial idea through to execution and reporting as well as being part of the Trade Team in which I worked on various projects to put Slovak and UK business together to create working relationships, adding to the growth of both economies.I also had to report on a monthly basis to the Ambassador and Head of Trade and Investment at the British Embassy Bratislava.

I was responsible for the Marketing of niche brand LDA (Learning Development Aids). LDA supplies Special Educational Needs products into schools across the world to help children of all conditions learn more effectively and to help them create coping mechanisms for their condition.My work was heavily based on a strategy that included Email Marketing, PR, Events Management and partnership development of condition charities as well as industry professionals to develop and promote products that really help the end user.

During this maternity cover role, I was responsible for driving footfall and spend as the Marketing Manager for 4 outlet shopping centres across the North West of England (Fleetwood, Doncaster, Stoke and West Bromwich.The role involved, among many other things, managing various stakeholders including shopping centre managers, store managers, HQ leasing team, creative agency, head office marketing teams for brands, events management teams and various others.

Employed on a maternity cover contract, I was based at Blue Planet Aquarium, one of the largest Aquariums in Britain. I was tasked with driving footfall to the aquarium while controlling a large budget to be used across several different channels incorporating the full marketing mix. I was line manager and point of contact for 7 Marketing Executives based at the other Aspro Ocio owned aquariums and theme parks across the UK.I was promoting the aquarium through Email Marketing, PR, Direct Adverting, Events, TV Advertising, Radio Advertising, Social Media, PPC and OOH. I also build reciprocal link relationships with various other local businesses, large employers and other tourist attractions.

Youth Football Scotland is a social enterprise that promotes youth football throughout Scotland as well as being a one stop interactive information, communication and service resource for players, coaches, teams, clubs and referees involved in Scottish youth football.I worked on a short term contract to create a marketing and sales strategy and train two members of staff in marketing and sales techniques. I also worked to bring in sponsors to the organisation to help it become a sustainable social enterprise and therefore not have to rely on various grants. I also promoted the services through the TV channel, radio station, email marketing, press releases and various other avenues encompassing the full marketing mix.I also attended various meetings with SportScotland and various partners regarding the preparations for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

A family owned events catering business, The Happy Hotdog Company traveled in its converted American school bus to music and arts festivals across the UK serving a selection of hot dogs and fries to a hungry audience.My role in the business was to find contacts at various festivals and to nurture relationships with a view to applying to attend events. I also worked on developing relationships with various events companies and venues directly.I also worked on the branding, website development and sourcing of new products among other things.Events attended include Park Life, Global Gathering, Kendal Calling and Doune the Rabbit Hole among others.

STEP Stirling operates the Business Gateway contract in Stirlingshire as well as offering business units for let, commercial training, conference rooms and various events targeted at local businesses. During my time with the company I was in charge of all marketing activities and was tasked with writing press releases, maintain the email list and creating internal and external newsletters, event management and promotion, creating series of commercial training and networking events and any other associated tasks including playing a pivitol part in the company rebranding project.

While working with the macrobert centre, my roles was to help the management in driving ticket sales for the cinema, private events and theatre productions as well as upselling of food, drink and programmes.Ways of promotion was through hard copy collateral where I had to manage a design team to keep in with brand guidelines, email marketing, press releases, events, Facebook and Twitter and updating the company CMS.I was also responsible for building relationships with local businesses, tourist destinations and other theatres across Scotland.
